One man and one opening.
I traded the comfort of dry land for twelve knots, unanchored days, and a sudden appreciation for the daily mysteries of the Atlantic coast.
Me
I didn't grow up on yachts. Born in Cleveland, Ohio and traveled the world through combat. Life took me from Key Largo to New York City, then pulled the rug out. No experience, and a lot of luck - I cast off from Baltimore. My maritime background was limited. Trial by fire and lessons from anyone. Being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
My philosophy is simple: if you can't change the wind, change your horizon. We each get 1,440 minutes a day and I want all of mine to be full of joy.

Lucky Lore is not a luxury cruiser. She is a modest, heavy-keeled fiberglass pocket voyager. She leaks a little when it rains, her diesel engine has a temper, but she keeps us safe when the horizon turns gray.
